Madonna accused of child trafficking

Madonna is being accused of human trafficking by the Ethiopian World Federation (EWF). This is in response to Madonna adopting 4 children from Malawi.

I feel like I need someone who's familiar with this org to explain the situation, because while I don't discount that white people adopting children from African countries can be exploitative (especially in terms of separating them from their families) this just sounds like straight up Xtian moral panic to me

Isn't it usually on these agencies to do the background research into potential parents? If they're raising this as a cultural and moral clash, then how would any foreign adopters know what they need or don't need to disclose if the agency isn't outright raising these specific issues?
