TMZ possibly tampered with Britney Spears restaurant video audio

BREAKING: A video of Britney Spears that went viral over the weekend was EDITED by TMZ. When played in reverse, you can hear someone say “That’s Britney Spears” and she says “I’m trying to get away.” pic.twitter.com/E1jk4mcdfA

The issue has been reported to the FCC. Andy Signore is also giving the source his DM opines (never open a video from Andy Signore) if you click deeper into Twitter, but in short, a simple reverse produces clear sentences not heard in the TMZ version. The audio is most likely strategically tampered with.

Longtime lister, first time caller here (my first post!) Truthfully, this whole debacle has been weighing on my mind. I thought the TMZ video was suspicious from the jump. In iterations where it's zoomed to her face, her mouth moves in a way that obviously doesn't fully match the "gibberish." Additionally, the "gibberish" ends when she begins to cover her face with the menu, even though she is clearly still talking with the server. It's simply not her in the audio. Initially, I suspected someone nearer to the camera was "bad dubbing" her for sport, with something like "Daddy get da dower." It's just... a consumer grade phone camera does not exist that can so precisely pick up and amplify ONLY BRITNEY with that absolute cacophony of ambient sound in this restaurant.

I tell my Britney story in a lot of comments, but in short, I was eating outside in a cafe on the Sunset Strip around 2007. Down the street, there was suddenly a cloud of paparazzi at a different cafe, too thick to see who they had swarmed. My server topped off my drink and was like "oh, a crowd like that has to be Britney." Sure enough, yes, because they were screaming her name incessantly, "Britney! Look over here!" *flash sound* and "BRITNEEYYY!" *shutter sound* and "you look pretty!" and then the one that made me rage: "What about the baby weight!" bellowed by the crowd's fattest unkempt man. The pap cloud erupted with yelling at that point, and to their credit, most went "NOT COOL," but each of them obviously lacked any self-awareness that screaming nice things to her while violating her doesn't exactly make them better. Britney only needed to travel about 10 to 15 feet to get from the door to the valet kiosk (we could see her car). My husband and I watched in horror that this tiny journey went on at least 10 minutes. She had to inch and just endure it (we never saw her, so many paps). Once she was in the car, they circled it, milled around the driveway, and she couldn't drive off. Another near 10 minutes until she could safely pull out onto busy Sunset Blvd without hitting one of them, and she gunned it. I had seen clips of stars overwhelmed by paparazzi, but clips are 5 seconds, 10 seconds. Seeing it in real time? Realizing this isn't an anomaly for her? She is so much more patient and strong than she receives credit for being.

Anyway, what do you think, bbs? From my view, the TMZ audio has been tampered with, in addition to being taken massively out of context to gain cheap engagement.

Bonus question: Have any of you seen a celebrity harassed for existing in a public space?
