January 12, 2023 Despite removing and killing so much content in production, Warner Bros. Discovery is raising prices for their streaming service, HBO Max. Effective Thursday, Jan. 12, the price of a new HBO Max no-ads monthly subscription in the U.S. will increase from $14.99 to $15.99 (or $149.99/year), a 7% increase. Just in time for The Last of Us. “This price increase of one dollar will allow us to continue to invest in providing even more culture-defining programming and improving our customer experience for all users,” the company said in a statement.
Their ad-supported tier remains unchanged at $9.99/month (or $99.99/year).
