I do not understand how people say it's a comedy

in bruges is funny

by the end of banshees, I was in a foul mood and never wanted to watch it again

in fact, my bad mood extended for the next two days and I am placing that blame squarely on the shoulders of mcdonagh

i went into "banshees" without having ever seen this director's work and holy shit. was not expecting the tone of the film. i loved it and it fucked me up. i vote colin for all the big awards.

and now i have to see this guys other movies.

definitely watch in bruges. its offensive as hell but also incredibly funny. and then there's definitely a real dark streak to it, and colin and brendan gleesan are the leads there too!

'banshees' is more in line with the director's plays & his film 'seven psychopaths', though i would consider SP to be waaaaaaaaaay more comedic. banshees is more in line with like the pillowman, cripple, etc.
