I remember when Almost Famous came out. Everyone was talking about how great it was. How great Kate was.
Then I watched it, and all I could think of was how awful her acting was. Cannot believe this was her breakout?

I watched it when it came out and i really liked it. If she hadn’t been in it/someone else had her role while she was in the background, I know I would’ve watched it more than once. Alas.

I thought the whole movie was mediocre, but that’s Cameron Crowe’s brand. But I can’t deny that his use of music in movies is so good. The only thing that saves Singles is the soundtrack and Kyra Sedwick’s hair.

I think initially the role was supposed to go to sarah polley, which I feel like would have made it a completely different (and better imo) movie.

Almost Famous is one of the most boring movies I've ever watched. As it turns out, Cameron Crowe is a hack.
