Rooney Mara says on an interview that she had a horrible experience filming ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, saying “I have to be careful when I talk about it”, and thought of quitting acting after that, until she worked with David Fincher.
She first worked him on ‘The Social Network’ and then on ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’
“David really took me under his wing and became my mentor in a lot of ways… He took such great care to make sure that I knew that I had a voice and that my opinion meant something, he constantly was empowering me, which I think really affected the rest of my choices thereafter and kind of like I felt that was normal like people care what I think. It’s not always normal but he really empowered me to have a voice and to know what I felt and wanted also mattered”
Didn’t watch the whole thing (video is on source 2) but she also says she’s doing an Audrey Hepburn film, so there’s that. And that she loves being a mom.
