as a former film studies major, my watching habits in 2022 were shameful so i'm *trying* to watch a movie per day (i'm 2/4, let's see what happens tonight lol). i finally watched a couple of things i'd recorded on tcm months ago: the facts of life (1960) with bob hope and lucille ball, which was a pretty pleasant though tonally bumpy affair dramedy, and the crimson kimono (1959), which was also a bit genre confused but incredibly progressive in its treatment of interracial relationships and commentary on race/racism for its time - my first samuel fuller movie.

i saw the whitney houston movie yesterday, which was a straightforward biopic, overall fine. the best part was that it was essentially 2+ hours of whitney songs and that was more than enough for me

will be seeing megan today. i just can't care enough to go see otto in theaters so i'll wait till it drops online

Annoyed Women Talking still isn't playing near me, so I guess I'm seeing Corsage tomorrow since I just noticed it's playing at my fave indie theater.

It looks like they are expanding Women Talking at the end of the month, either January 20th or 27th.
