i was literally just thinking it was weird that no marvel actors had shared anything yet. not that they have to publicly, i'd just expect it from evans or rdj or taika. but maybe his closer friends are waiting until they have the full picture on how bad it is

me too...no words from his Marvel co-stars like RDJ, Evans, or even Johansson...only Ruffalo and Gunn (and Josh Gad) send support him

My guess would be they are respecting his privacy.

They were quicker to defend Worst Chris than they were to show support for a man who probably got one of his legs mangled in an accident. I mean it was very sudden, but......huh.

that was so damn dumb

they also all went bonkers over Gunn (temporarily) getting fired (that whole thing was just weird)

This is the same group that acted like the worst Chris was dying, while saying nothing about the abuse Brie Larson suffered. They’re idiots.

I agree that it's a bit weird, but also, Pratt probably whined at everybody he knew that he's so hurt and if only people who know the real him would tell the mean public that, actually, he's a real standup guy, until they couldn't take it anymore and made posts just to shut him up.

I forgot about that whole thing. My Stan glasses are having a hard time seeing that they’d be that thoughtless, but *shrug* who knows what their relationships are like now that the movies have been over for years.

It's pretty clear they posted about the Chris Pratt stuff because he asked them to. Your instincts about it being privacy reasons are on track for most reasonable people.

Which makes the whole In Defense of Christopher Pratt moment absolutely more hilarious. And extra pathetic.

I think if anything, that's a sign that his condition is really bad or uncertain. His team might be holding things close and coworkers don't want to speak ahead of them.

yeah this is what i was thinking

they don't like him either probably!

yeah i was trying to decide between that or it just being really bad and them not wanting to reveal anything, or feeling like things could change as soon as they posted something. but then i think about all the people posting in support of bob odenkirk when his situation seemed very uncertain and scary so idk!

It’s still all pretty new and relatively private on what happened to him so I imagine they’re respecting his privacy and waiting for updates too.

In general I hope celebs start moving away from having to post or respond immediately on social media just cause the “fans” demand it. This is not aimed at you but I don’t like the whole mentality of “if you don’t publicly respond to something it automatically means you don’t care or something is off”. Maybe that sometimes is the message sure but not always. I think followers lose those entitlements and let speak or stay silent in peace.

oh totally, i agree. i think it's extremely understandable if his condition is that dire and they're dealing with their emotions about it. i limited it to marvel people in my comment but tbh just hadn't seen any celeb post something until this post about mark, which again is fine, just very different from what i'm used to when something like this happens to a famous person
