James Cameron wanted Matt Damon for #Avatar and offered him 10% of the profits. Damon said no and lost out on $250 million.

Matt Damon was offered a role in the first Avatar film and was offered 10% of the profits from James Cameron. Matt declined because of his obligations to the Bourne franchise. Matt has been kicking himself over it ever since as he would have netted a huge $250 million paycheck.
Cameron is kinda tired of hearing about it: ‘Matt you’re kind of like one of the biggest movie stars in the world, get over it.’
That said, Cameron wants Damon to at least have a cameo in a future installment, but 10% is out of the question. 'Fuck that.'
