Twain accepted the People's Choice "Icon Award" wearing a modern reinvention of her 1998 look.
Shania Twain's recent appearance at the People's Choice Awards, wearing a hooded leopard-print Rodarte dress, evoked her iconic outfit from 1998's "That Don't Impress Me Much". But Twain never left leopard print behind, as she recently told Elle: "Leopard print is my 'no-fail neutral.' You can dress it up, you can dress it down. It is a staple print because you can put leopard on velvet or chiffon or sheer or silk. It belongs everywhere, from haute couture to a girl out riding a horse with her leopard-print cowboy hat. You can have so much fun. It's hyper flexible."

As she assured Elle, "I don’t always get it right. Except for leopard print-that I do get right."
