We went to see White Noise earlier this week - it's in select theaters now, but will be on Netflix on December 30th. I knew it had mixed reviews out of Venice (and better reviews out of NYFF), and I'm not really an Adam Driver stan, but I thought it looked good. Well, I'm glad we went, because I loved it, and it will probably end up in my top 10 of the year! I can see how it's been divisive, though ( ... )

i read white noise a long time ago and loved it - i'm a bright eyes/conor oberst stan lol and one song namechecks don delillo so i went straight to the library when i heard it and checked out a bunch of his books. the last paragraph/line of white noise has stuck with me ever since i read it, it's really powerful imo. your thoughts on the film are really making me want to see it!

omg yes! it's honestly one of my favourite song openings ever! btw right now i am wearing a t shirt i bought a month or so ago that says "conor oberst ruined my life" lol. i would definitely recommend the book and other don delillo stuff too - zero k is a newer work by him but i think it's really accessible and a good intro to his stuff!
