Unpopular opinion, perhaps, but I'm stunned Austin Butler is winning critics awards and will get an Oscar nomination. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think he did a good job but Hollywood needs to cool it with Oscar bait biopics of musicians.

He's getting Oscar buzz. I honestly think he deserves it. He was incredible as Elvis

Me too, I've only known him as Vanessa Hudgens boyfriend and I haven't seen Elvis yet (and probably won't) so I guess he'll always be bb V's ex to me.

I agree. The Elvis script was as shallow as a teaspoon and he's being praised for doing a good impression of Elvis performing musical numbers.

Same thing people complained about for Bohemian Rhapsody. I'm tired of bad musical biopics automatically getting nominations and wins.

I kind of agree. I don't think that movie really lets him do anything than swivel his hips and do an impression until the last third of the film. The rest is just montage.
