November 28, 2022 After completing a make-up show in LA (along with a bonus second night, third overall) this weekend, THE Weeknd has dropped the long anticipated overseas dates for his AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN STADIUM TOUR.
This leg includes Europe, Mexico, & South America.
I also notice some gaps in days where he could add another night in a city if it sells well enough.
Presumably, if he does play Asia/Australia/South Africa, those could happen at the end of 2023 or early 2024 (i would have thought he would have done Asia/Aussie at the end of THIS year. The hell is he gonna do from now til June??)
Fun fact about the tour:
Did you guys know that there actually is a LIVE band?? They are playing behind the stage. According to a production lead on the tour, the band was originally going to be on stage, but they looked weird in terms of scale with the fake buildings (which is odd, because Abel and his dancers are on the stage numerous times during the show...). So they opted to just put them in the back of the stage in a little tent (Get that paper. A gig is a gig, but i think they should have worked out something different. As it is, they are already just playing over stripped down backing tracks. At that point, why bring them on tour at all?? But for proof there's people there, Abels drummer, Ricky Lewis, has posted videos during the tour:

Certain venues, the band would be situated in the orchestra pit area below the stage, which is what The Weeknd should have had them be at tbh).
