Watched The Wonder and thought it was good, tho def coulda done without whatever that art house BS was at the beginning and end

Tried watching Tar and gave up 20 min in bc I was bored outta my mind

Waiting forever for Something in the Dirt and Nocebo to upload so hopefully I'll have those to watch this weekend along with The Estate

the first 30 minutes is like all two scenes and definitely the slowest of tar

i agree, i feel like the beginning and the end of the wonder dropped my rating of it down. though i was not expecting [Spoiler (click to open)] miss flo to get railed like that godDAMn much better than DWD

There was another actor that I saw in the trailer and thought that Tom Burke was a fakeout for him and I was a little sad because he was such a solid piece, he matched Florence well. He reminded me a lot of Alfred Molina.

I was so happy when he came through. WHEW.

Literally skip the first thirty minutes because unless you're into classical you're gonna be bored out of your mind.

It drops a TON of references and arguments in the classical world, and I was clutching my metaphorical pearls (honestly addressed a question I had from the trailer), but my bff was like, wtf is going on. You can skip to the hotel room, tbh. Just know that she finds the idea of being essential to timekeeping is why she loves conducting.
