Unrelated but I started watching Sons of Anarchy recently and BOY does the N-bomb and several other slurs get dropped quite often, at least in the first few episodes...I mean it's about biker gangs and some of them are neo-nazis so like, it's on brand I guess? But it's hilarious to me that they can say the N-word on cable but you can't say fuck lmao

That show feels so outdated and it's only been 15 years since it started airing. But I guess 15 years is a long time and I'm just getting old :')

I haven't watched since it aired, I only remember how degrading the show's treatment of women was.

I'm still upset about [Spoiler (click to open)]how brutal Tara's death scene was.

Oh, don't remind me. [Spoiler (click to open)]That scene still haunts me, it was so unncessarily brutal and then Gemma got to go out in a peaceful way in comparison.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Yeah, that pissed me off so much. Gemma got to say goodbye to everyone and got off way too easily. She took Abel and Thomas' mother away from them for nothing. Jax was also so stupid; he basically started a gang war and got so many people killed (including Bobby) because of Gemma's lie about the Chinese gang being behind Tara's death. Like how about you wait until you have actual evidence before you start torturing and shooting people, just because your untrustworthy mom told you to? So infuriating.

[Spoiler (click to open)]It made no sense that he trusted his mother at that point, not after everyhting that happened. Gemma was my favourite in season 1, in later seasons she just became irredeemable.

That scene finally got me to quit the show, looking back I should've dropped it way sooner.

It is wild that they can say slurs but not swears lol like where are the priorities here...

Marilyn Manson played a N*zi rapist in the final season of that show... so he basically played himself.
