Yeah, it's just so hard to tell somebody to not sexually harrass or assault somebody,

So many men view sexual harrassment or assaukt as harmless if it doesn't involve rape, ugh.

Yes! I hate how it's considered basically okay unless it's full on rape as if those other things wouldn't leave someone violated and shaken up. I've had men follow me and it made me feel unsafe, I can't imagine what it's like to have it go further.

It seems wild and pathetic but that's how people here acted too. People use to make jokes and call up and coming girls "Harvey's girls". I remember them saying this about Zendaya when she pic with him at some luncheon(?) during Cannes Film Festival.

has zendaya ever talked about him?

I don't think so. It didn't seem like anything big, it was just a random meet and greet.

That’s obviously not ok either. But, I think there’s a difference between random people on the internet calling the actresses that out of jealousy/misogyny/etc and this man of power - a good friend of the abuser - claiming he didn’t confront him simply because it was pathetic. He could’ve saved so many women (even if it was “Mad Men secretary chasing” harassment) and he chose not to do that.

Oh I agree, he could've done more than any of us ever could but I think that mentality and culture was so deeply embedded that thats why so many of us cracked jokes and downplayed it.

Plus the person below reminded me that we were under the assumption that women "had choice" in the matter which was also super prevalent in the industry mentality too.

I feel like most people thought the women had a choice

The old thinking was that.

oof weren’t there ppl saying the same thing about Jennifer Lawrence not too long ago? I’m glad many of us have snapped out of this misogynistic cynicism

Pretty much. She even addressed it in her 73 questions with Vogue.

I do think he lobbied for her win cause that much is clear since that movie was not awards-worthy but the sleeping with him accusation no.

He also defended Roman Polanski. He's a POS.

Harvey isn’t the only pathetic one in this situation, Q-tip.
