A video was released on Elton's official YouTube channel today that features Nathan Chen, 2022 Olympic gold medalist, skating to the "acoustic version" of Elton's collaboration with Britney Spears, "Hold Me Closer". The video was filmed at Yale University's rink, where Nathan is currently taking classes.

He has been since like 2019. I do believe he wasn't doing a full course load with skating but I'd be surprised if he was still a freshman. Either that info is a little out of date or he reallllly didn't do as much school as he let the media believe with the endless "how do you balance both" questions lol.

lol thank you, I knew I remembered them talking about him not being able to train in person with his coach because he was at Yale

he took some time off from yale olympic season iirc. he's officially been studying there since 18/19 but academically maybe he's still a freshman, idk

I will edit the post and take that out since it's causing confusion, because it's really unclear if he's still technically in his freshman year or not 🤔
