I still can't believe how many people believe that.

The amount of people who think women 40+ can't conceive naturally is really shocking too.

yep!!!! my mum had her first kid at 37 and her second (me) at 42. she never had any issues getting pregnant and only had one miscarriage (as far as she knows). like, women's bodies are incredibly resilient and can do amazing things, including getting pregnant and giving birth beyond 35!!

and also that it's cruel to have a baby when you're over 40, because you'll be dead soon and won't be able to raise your child for long

i have a friend who had an oops baby at 50. she thought she was going into menopause; nope, you're five months pregnant.

My mom was always called the menopausal baby. My gram was 53 when she had her....and she only had boys prior so it was sweet that she finally got the girl she wanted.

Unfortunately only 10-15% of a woman's eggs are chromosomally normal past the age of 40, so while it definitely is not impossible, it's just that much harder to conceive and carry a healthy baby to term. It's not fair but there is some truth to it.

Yes! I love that he’s with a woman in her forties. See men, if Askars who is still that fine at 46, and who could absolutely date woman in her twenties, can date/ marry and have a child with a woman in her forties there is absolutely no excuse. I'm 32 and when I was about 28 or 29 a coworker asked if I was going to have children and I told her maybe in a few years and she said "well aren't you worried you won't be able to because of your age?" I was dumbfounded. My mom was 36 when she had me so it's never even been a concern that I'd be too old. I still don't have kids and don't know when I want to.
