35 of 50 Senate seats are open; 51 for control (or 50 if Dem with VP tie breaker) Dems retain 34 going into election
36 states will elect a Governor 20 Republican are open, 16 Democrat are open Governors protect (or remove) women’s reproductive rights now that Roe v Wade overturned
⚠️ The incumbent party normally loses ground during the midterms; do not despair. Senate control is optimistic; House control is a toss-up. Think positive for Governors.
