Jack Harlow pulls double duty on Saturday Night Live

• Rapper Jack Harlow is hosting SNLs Halloween episode tonight. Harlow is a first time host, and this will be his second time performing as the musical guest on the show. He first appeared back in March 2021 as the musical guest for the Maya Rudolph hosted show.
• This episode marks the return of longtime cast member Cecily Strong. Strong missed the first three episodes of the season and her absence in the new opening montage caused fans to speculate that she had quietly left the show over the summer. Strong was in Los Angeles doing a limited run of the one-woman show, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
• This past week SNL announced that the November 5 episode is going to be hosted by comedian Amy Schumer and feature musical guest Steve Lacy. This will be Schumer's third time hosting, and be Lacy's first time as musical guest.
• The SNL post-production crew, "successfully organized with the Motion Picture Editors Guild (MPEG), Local 700 of IATSE." The twenty person crew works round the clock to produce many new and often complex pre-recorded sketches a week.
• In an upsetting turn of events, SNL alumn Chris Redd was attacked outside the Comedy Cellar on Wednesday night. According to police, the assailant - who was dressed in a security guard uniform - attacked Redd as he got out of his vehicle “without prior conversation or provocation.” Redd was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and then released. The police have released photos of the man they believe is connected to the assault and are asking the public for their help locating the man.
