So grateful I was able to see this live in a theatre. It was such a lovely send off.

Seokjin is my bias simply because I see so much of myself in him. He didn't grow up wanting to be a singer, a writer, dancer, nor a producer. Yet this opportunity (BTS) was presented to him and he worked so incredibly hard over the years to catch up to his team members and develop his craft to the point where he shines so brightly.

I often feel like I'm drifting throughout life...it's nice to see another drifter find their calling.

I've been a member of ONTD for almost 2 decades and never comment on posts but I've been VERY (embarrassingly so) active in these Seokjin posts 😅. The circumstances surrounding his enlistment just has me feeling emotional. He name was always unfairly negatively brought up whenever anyone talked about BTS' enlistment.

Will always appreciate Jin's sincerity behind everything he does and hope he feels a sense of relief now that the weight he's been carrying around for years is finally lifted.

I'm excited for his Running Man episode tomorrow cause variety shows are where Seokjin truly shines. Can't fake that personality.

Random end note: Chris Martin has incredible stage presence.

I couldn't even get tickets to the theatre ;( it was all sold out. And buying tickets was unthinkable bc of the prices (the special low price ones sold out in seconds). But I did manage to watch through a twitter stream.

It was really nice! Loved his performance. Still surreal that he came all the way here.

Same!

He's my favorite BTS member for so many reasons, but the amount of hard work he's put in to become a k-pop idol will always be so admirable. Like you said, he had no thoughts of singing, dancing, or anything music-related, and now he's writing songs and is an irreplaceable member of the group.

And I've only been an ONTD member for a couple of years (lurker for far longer), but this is the first post I've ever made and whew! I had very little idea what I was doing, don't understand where the "like" feature went and have no idea how to fix it, but I wanted to post for Jin 💙

Very excited for Running Man as well! (Not so excited for what will happen after October ends...)

Same, you’ve summed up a lot of my feelings about all this, even the part about being on here for quite some time!

Jin’s my favourite, I think it’s easy to see why people who work with him end up liking him so much, Chris being the latest example. I will miss him while he’s enlisted - I’ve never really followed k-pop or stanned anyone else who had to go through this so this is all very new and eye-opening.

I appreciated that Chris mentioned the enlistment on stage, saying that it’s serious stuff and that they hope it goes well. I think discussion about BTS and the military has been missing a bit of that - the part where it’s acknowledged that it’s very much a big deal to male citizens there, and that throughout the mess of the postponement and the government hemming and hawing over whether they met exemption criteria, the members and especially Jin were criticised for something that was somewhat out of their hands for a lot of that time (what he explained in his live). Sorry for him and his family to have experienced that public negativity for the last few years, happy he got a good solo send-off on stage, and hope he can go and return well.
