Taylor Swift is on The Graham Norton Show this weekend and in a preview released, she discusses her failed audition for Les Miserables.
“Basically, I was up for two roles … I had the look of Cosette and the range, vocally, of Eponine, so it was established I was there for a good time but not for a long time - I wasn’t going to get the role,” Swift said.
She was invited to London to screentest with Eddie Redmayne - also a Graham Norton guest - things turned ugly when she was asked to dress in costume as Eponine, rotting teeth and all.
I was like, ‘You are going to do that after I meet Eddie Redmayne right?’ … But no, they made me look like near death and it immediately became a nightmare for me,” Swift said.
Redmayne also didn't have fond remembrance of the encounter.
My overwhelming memory of it is that I had just been to Pizza Express beforehand and had garlic dough balls beforehand … and all I could think about was my garlic breath,” The “Fantastic Beasts” actor said.
Also, in true Swiftie fashion, her fans are in the comments thinking Eddie dropped Easter egg hints for them.
