For someone with so much dance training, Charli is really boring to watch. Same goes for Gabby. You'd think that having a competition dancer and a pro cheerleader would result in having really over the top impressive performances but they've both been pretty underwhelming. I appreciate that they can keep their legs straight and point their toes, but I expected to be wowed by them and I really haven't been. They're clearly not awful dancers but they're nowhere near what I thought they would be.
ITA - Charli and Gabby are both boring to watch while Wayne and Shangela are so fun because they have so much personality while they're dancing. You can see the joy and exuberance on their faces and in their body language. I was also really impressed with Shangela's frame this week. She was so elegant! Wayne also gets bonus points for learning that dance in half the usual amount of time. Thank goodness he got sick during a week when they only had one dance. If he's gotten sick last week when they had to learn three dances total, he might have fallen far enough behind to slip down to the bottom.
I really start worrying about someone getting injured when they get to the point in the season that they are doing multiple dances. Even before you take into account how much stress you put on your body with repetitive movements, the sheer exhaustion that comes with learning and rehearsing two or three dances in one week can make you let your guard down, and that’s all it takes to make a simple mistake that can cause a really painful or serious injury.
Since the show is now on Disney+ (meaning not network tv where the length of the show is determined by selling ad time), I hope that as the season goes on and the number of contestants decreases that they shorten each episode instead of trying to fill two hours by making the remaining celebs do multiple dances.

But Charli is amazing. I won't hate on a teenager. She absolutely deserves to make the finals 🤷🏾♀️
