The explanation behind what is happening at Rooster Teeth right now
Basically, Rooster Teeth is an online production company that has had success with webseries like Red Vs Blue and RWBY and has branched out into different sections like gaming Let's Play's with Achievement Hunter and Funhaus along with Podcasts (Face Jam, Ship Hits the Fan, Red Web, etc).
The current situation that is happening started with the dissolving of Matt Bragg's role in Achievement Hunter from full time to part time (he's been there for 8 years and imo is one of the grounded and necessary members there). The fans were distraught and frustrated over the news (RT is under the WB/Discovery umbrella so the fact that Matt's role was reduced because of that merger was annoying).

Kdin Jenzen (she/they, worked there for 8-9 years, transitioned during her time there) wrote a tweet about awful the news was but there were other awful and shocking things people have been dealing with while working for that company. Kdin then wrote a twitlonger post about the abuse she endured (long crunch time, homophobic nicknames, unpaid hours. promises of medical costs being covered but then denied, being used as a sign that the company is progressive but behind the scenes they weren't, and more).

On the subreddit, fans figured out that two of the cast members that were behind the homophobic nickname were Michael Jones and Gavin Free who are both still current members of AH. Michael and Gavin released their statements on twitter a few hours ago.
