She’s so full of shit. I’ll bet she has all her vaccines too. I had a friend who was an anti-vaxxer. Her husband pushed for their kids to be vaccinated during their divorce and as soon as she had to be accountable to a judge, custody counselor, lawyers, etc, she backpedaled real fuckin fast.

i had a few coworkers who were firmly anti-vax (at least the covid one) claiming they were full of toxines and we couldn't know the side effects for the future, but all three of them were smokers.

I will never understand how people do those kind of mental gymnastics. My mother-in-law always talks proudly about how she doesn't take any pain meds barely even aspirin and how she gave birth naturally to her 4 kids without an epidural, but she smokes like a chimney and drinks like fish. She also smoked during at least one of her pregnancies and is going through heart failure but still smokes and drinks 😑

My boyfriend's mom is a heavy smoker and was firmly anti-Covid vax for a longtime because, in her words, she was worried about how it would interfere with her COPD. Which makes no sense, obviously. The other irony: she's a nurse! She finally did get the vaccine but the mental gymnastics she was going through prior to that were insane.

Yeah, I know a couple who were iffy on the vaccine. But as soon as they needed them to travel. They were perfectly fine with them.

There were sooooo many people who were like "I'm only doing this for the travel". Like okay then, I guess it's not so dangerous that you'd put your health before traveling.

When I went to St Lucia last year, the amount of people lined up at the airport once they realized they couldn’t leave the resort unless they got the vaccine was laughable. Like oh NOW you want the vaccine now that it actually affects you.
