But I love Michelle Yeoh, so I guess now I will have to watch this.

I think almost every Poirot fan vastly prefers David Suchet and considers Branagh an abomination and heresy to the AC IP.

I love Michelle too, but not enough to watch her in something like this.

As a Poirot fan, yes, exactly. Branagh is just to self-centered and arrogant to accept that someone somewhere is better than him.

I realize that David Suchet is a little too old to play Poirot now maybe and he basically already did all the stories... but I think the next person who wants to play Poirot needs to be REALLY good just to not look bad compared to him. Branagh's version really ain't it.

I think Hollywood (and British tv) needs to let Poirot rest for a while. Suchet is the only Poirot to most Christie fans, and I think they should wait a generation or two before dusting of that character again.
They could do Marple instead. People have their favourite, but there isn’t a one definite Marple the same way Suchet IS Poirot.
