TwitchShow is turning into a Shitshow
The exhibit was part of the weekend-long event for the livestreaming video platform, which this year was held at the San Diego Convention Center. With a ball foam pit sponsored by Lenovo and Intel, people were battling ala "American Gladiators" with foam rods.
Many people thought it seemed unsafe -- Considering people had to sign waivers before playing, yeah, sounds right.
And now people have broken their backs on the damn thing.
TW: Severe (non-graphic) Injury.
Twitch Stramer Adriana Chechik breaks her back in 2 separate places after jumping into a foam pit. It's not a graphic injury, but clearly a painful one, so sensitive viewers beware.
Probably the most painful thing I’ve seen in awhile. Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik has confirmed broken her back in two separate places following this jump at TwitchCon

October 9, 2022And she apparently isn't the first person to be seriously injured. LochVaness also jumped into the foam pit and hit her foot at the concrete bottom and rolled her ankle, unsetting her kneecap.
However, she said, she will need to see a sports medicine specialist for more help with her knee + an MRI scan to assess whether she will need surgery.
Other reports include many disabled people facing hostility and unhelpfulness from con staff, disregarding fire codes and packing too many people into places, people passing out, having security seemingly unaware of how the rules were supposed to operate.
