He's got GERD IIRC, among some other illnesses, but that one is the one that he says (in combo with just plain ol genetics) causes the deep voice because the acid is corroding his vocal chords. I guess doctors have told him he's eventually probably not going to have a voice.

I'm pretty sure I'm remembering all of this correctly but I haven't watched any of his videos in like, almost 2 years lol
