Paris' little dog Diamond Baby has gone missing in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles. She is offering a huge reward. I feel so bad for her. It does not bode well when wee creatures go missing in these areas.

ONTD, does your pet have a middle name?

Oh gosh. That poor dog. Hope she is found :(

I have a Pekingese named Olivia. She is my heart. I’ve had her since she was a puppy, and will turn 9 in January. She is the sweetest baby. But yeah I am so paranoid something like this could happen. I am very careful and do not let her out of my sight if we’re not inside - but you never know when something like this could happen :( one I accidentally dropped my leash outside and Olivia went running like she was FREE. She got so close to a main road before I was able to jump on her. Ever since I hold my leash super tight! It’s so easy to make an absent minded mistake or lose your whereabouts for only a couple of seconds.

My girl does that too. I was using a certain kind of harness and she did a wiggle attack and got herself out of it. And she bolted. Other people had to grab her. Made me feel like such a bad dog mom.

My late doggy was an escape artist, and would bolt from the yard, and shimmy out of her collar and leashes. Once, at the doorway to the groomers, she wriggled out of her collar and took off down the street. She had the time of her life, running alongside cars. A few people tried to help by reaching for her from their car windows, and she'd taunt them by getting close and then galloping away. She was EXTREMELY NAUGHTY, and I miss her so much.

I had a little 5-pound Italian Greyhound named Pippi, and she was my world. You sound just like me before she passed away a few years ago. In fact one of my first thoughts after she passed was how grateful I was that I could keep her safe all those years. She had slipped out the gate one day and I really thought I'd lost her, but she was barking at my neighbors front door cause she got scared.

You are so right that any small mistake can lead to them getting away. It sounds like you are a very attentive doggie parent, though. She's lucky to have you!

One time I put the poop bag in a public trash can but the bottom of the trash can popped open and everything smacked on the ground and made a Big Bang. My dog jumped and broke out of his collar. Every time I moved, he went further away and closer to the street. I literally almost cried cuz there is a 4 lane street around the corner. Thankfully I had some snacks with me so eventually he came towards me and I was able to grab him.
