Dawn - Brec Bassinger (Stargirl)
Ormand Longchamp (Dawn's adoptive father) - Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives)
Lillian Cutler (Dawn's grandmother) - Donna Mills (Knots Landing)
Michael Sutton (Broadway star and Dawn's teacher) - Joey McIntyre (New Kids on the Block)
Agnes Morris (housemother at Dawn's performing arts school) - Fran Drescher (The Nanny)

The Dawn/Cutler/Longchamp series was the first to be written entirely by the ghostwriter after V.C. Andrews died. Lifetime will release four movies - one for each of the books in the series: Dawn, Secrets of the Morning, Twilight's Child, and Midnight Whispers. The first film is currently in pre-production and is expected to be released in 2023.
