Is there any woman who hasn't been assaulted in some sort of way? It's all so horrible. I often imagine the person I could been and the things I could have achieved without trauma. And that's WITH processing and therapy. Women give up so much to this world's catering to men.

Meanwhile, men like Matt Damon are all about "It wasn't rape-rape, so don't complain. Don't you dare misclassify it."

Oh god. Matt Damon is so fucking dumb. Like, he literally could've said nothing and instead word vomited all that idiocy, thinking he was coming off as ~rational~.

i can't think of a situation where i've been phsyically assaulted, but i definitely have been harassed by a male co-worker... like currently ongoing and my supervisor is aware and she's brought it up to our director and he just... ignores it? or can't do anything?

i'm weird about people in general, but i really don't like people being too close to me, and i especially don't like people (in general) touching me unless i'm comfortable with them. He used to come into the break room during my break and be crudely suggestive, but i've figured out a way to keep him at a distance...

The fact that you have to keep him at a distance while no one in authority positions is telling him he's on thin ice is such bullshit.

I also don't get anyone who touches others without their express permission. I hate it.

I'm the same way about hugs as in, if I don't initiate it, don't touch me, and the number of times I've heard I know you don't like hugs but I'm going to give you one anyway, grrrrrrrrr. It makes my skin crawl, this is not comforting to me!

And yeah, I should have said some form of harassment instead of assault, because from a unwanted catcall on the street, to walking a little bit faster, or not doing an activity, like running at 5 am, it's all women who have to modify their behavior in big and small ways that's been ingrained in us. So infuriating.

i’ve never been physically assaulted but my best friend and i had a man in a truck expose himself to us and masturbate outside our elementary school. we were thankfully a bit further away from the road because this guy had been going around trying to snatch girls off the street for weeks.

literally it’s always something.
