I think it's just like that episode of Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone only gender-swapped and the lead is voluntarily in the loop, but tbf no one watched that series but me lol. I liked that it didn't make the situation romantic (bc it wouldn't be), and Topher Grace played it accurately imo as creepy, smarmy, and misogynist.

I can't tell if they're still going to lean into rom-com here but there are whiffs of 50 First Dates, Groundhog Day, that Palm Springs movie I never saw...complete with another former(?) SNL cast member. Or maybe Happy Death Day with no death?

I just saw that ep of Twilight Zone! The ending was so satisfying.

This movie’s plot reminds me more of Time Freak with Asa Butterfield and Sophie Turner. Asa’s character had a time machine and he kept using it to go back so he could ‘fix’ every little thing that went wrong in his relationship.

Yes, I really enjoyed it more than other TZ eps from that run! I thought I was alone in watching tho lol.

I only just started watching the show recently but I’d seen a couple of eps before. I’ve been viewing them out of order but the Topher Grace ep is one of my faves so far.

Tbh I hadn’t even heard of Time Freak before lol. It showed up on Amazon Prime (I think?) and I saw that it starred Asa, Sophie and Skyler Gisondo so I figured I could give it a watch.
