Lemme say this before the transphobes roll in.

1. Nonbinary people didn't "win" anything. These laws are going to affect us too.

2. A lot binary transpeople have always invalidated non-binary just like cis people do.

3. This isn't cis people being on our side, they're weaponizing our identities against OUR community as whole. The best way to dismantle a community is to cause inter-conflict which is exactly and always the gameplan of oppressors and the sooner binary transpeople / transmedicalists realize that, the better for all of us.

I disagree that I misgendered Ezra bc when using pronouns, I always refer to them as they. My initial comment was poorly worded but my point stands - Ezra benefits from passing privilege and that's literally all the studios care about, and it's delusional to believe otherwise.The chances they were given would be vastly different (or none) had Ezra been a trans woman, for example. But here's the Ezra thread where I supposedly misgendered them so whoever's interested can take their own conclusions.

Acknowledging that nb people who mostly if not fully present in a way that aligns with the gender they were raised as, having privilege based on that is not something people want to admit.

Apparently ONTD has a history of banned users who come back with different names and personalities, and some users like to claim they know someone's "real" identity as a fact. It's insane how people in my bubble seem to be constantly fighting and calling each other out for saying something problematic or uninformed, as if just bc they speak up about issues they're automatically obligated to be perfect militants.
