More nostalgia for geriatric millennials like myself! Coldplay's sophomore album, A Rush Of Blood To the Head, turns 20 years old today. As Stereogum themselves put it, it's arguably their peak achievement to date even after all these years, with hits and singles such as Clocks, In My Place, God Put a Smile Upon Your Face, and, of course, The Scientist.

Even the band sent out a Tweet wishing the album a happy 20th anniversary, saying it was the album that almost broke them but made them instead.

What is your favourite single off the album, ONTD?

lbr, they stopped making good music circa Viva La Vida, but this album has SUCH a nostalgic pull for so many people.

Other noteworthy pop culture events in 2002: LOTR: The Two Towers and the first Tobey Spiderman movie came out (along with Chamber of Secrets, Attack of the Clones, and Crossroads); Rosie O'Donnell came out; Halle Berry became the first Black woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars; Let Go by Avril Lavigne was released; American Idol premiered; Britney and Justin broke up; Ben Affleck was crowned Sexiest Man Alive; Eminem's The Eminem Show was the biggest-selling album of the year; Sarah Michelle Gellar married Freddie Prinze Jr.

Oh, and low-rise jeans.

Now read all the above while playing Clocks in the background. I dare you.
