From the doc, it sounded like Sparkle knew R Kelly was a predator but thought he wouldn't touch her niece. With Jane's comments about being told to flirt with R Kelly, Sparkle's whole story sounds suspect.

It happens often tbh a woman will know their significant other is a predator but they have put the idea into their head that they won’t harm certain children. Maybe I’m her mind she felt like if he was her god daughter that she was safe from the abuse. It sounds fucked up and doesn’t put her in the best light

ok am I reading this wrong or are y'all? the girl is saying sparkle used to tell her to ask him to be her godfather and to rub his head. it's right there in the first paragraph. this is after aaliyah and after he was supposedly known in chicago to frequent high school entrances and mcdonalds.
