The only Avengers fanfic I used to read was Bruce/Tony and I felt it wasn’t nearly as popular as it should’ve been. Tony/Steve was always more popular for some dumb reason.

I've heard that Tony was still a mess in the comics, but not nearly as much of a prick/enemy to Steve as he was in the MCU.

Tony has a strong friendship with Steve in the comics, which is why adapting Civil War for the mcu didn't have the same emotional punch. MCU also removed his alcoholism for the most part.

it truly was the cowards way out lol, everything I’ve seen of comics Stony tells me they would’ve and should’ve gotten married in every timeline/universe at some point
