I'm not even a sone and I was so sad, I can't even imagine what longtime fans must be feeling. I've been obsessed with the album since it came out (Closer you guys!!) and I was just really looking forward to seeing grown-ass women my age perform lol.

Yeah, I am worried they won't be able to perform on music shows, either. I'm not sure what everyone's schedules are like at the moment. Sooyoung, Yoona, Seohyun, and Yuri all have dramas broadcasting right now, but they were all preshot, and I think they all are done with press. Not sure what else they've got going on or how long they cleared their schedule for? Maybe for the entire month of August?
I just saw that they're doing a fanmeet, though! So that is exciting!!
I think Korean fans are accusing them of ‘running away’. But like… this is their first stage in 5 years, I doubt they wanna be a member down when this may not happen again.
that's so stupid, like...they're hardly the only artist, let alone k-pop artists, coming down with covid at the moment. Why would they be running away from something they worked so hard to make happen lol
I mean knetz went after mark lee because he was recovering from COVID and wanted to go play basketball on his bday and remarked he was sad because it was raining and he’d wanted to do something for his bday… - the rest of the group was at a fansign in Japan and he was missing it. He couldn’t help it. Like Mark is fine, y’all are just lousy fans.

I feel bad for their fans, they were probably looking forward to seeing them all perform again. I'm not even a SONE and I was looking forward to it. It's really rare for groups to actually stay together after leaving their companies so I don't know that this will ever happen again.
This is probably the best time to reunite, too. None of them have gotten married or had children, their fans are at an age where they have little responsibility outside themselves but disposable income, etc.
i'm admittedly not the biggest fan of their music (not because i don't think it's good, but because i find myself having a harder time getting into k-pop releases from prior to 2014-15ish, with a few exceptions) but i thought the back end of their album was great. "freedom" in particular has been on repeat.
