A new trailer was released in which, setting the new game in the Paldea region, in a completely open world environment. Showcasing the ways the new legendaries can be used to traverse the region.
As a student of either the naranja or uva academy, you have to excel at missions while meeting new characters and Pokémon.

Also the Terastral phenomenon is present in the region, encasing the Pokémon in crystal and granting them either a boost on the moves of their typing or granting them a new typing altogether, such as Pikachu becoming a flying type or Driftblim turning into a fire type. Some Pokémon can even have different options among the types they can turn into, giving a new level of complexity to battles.
