He's apologized more than once now so I don't know why people still expect more and more and more (although I guess I do). Where's the apology from Chris Rock? He can hide behind "it was just a joke" all he wants but the fact is that the "joke" was obviously hurtful. Why is ~comedy a get out of consequences free card? If a colleague of mine made a joke about me that was also discriminatory in some way am I not allowed to be offended and hurt by that? Does he not owe me an apology whether it was a "joke" or not?

I'm not saying slapping him was the answer but the whole response to this from people has always bothered me.
