Absolutely gonna go see Resurrection... kinda obsessed with Rebecca Hall after The Night House. Might go see Vengeance, since it's at my local AMC. Still have to see Marcel but man, I know it is gonna make me cry and I hate crying in theaters!

Finally got back to watching some movies over the past week, all new to me:

Thor: Love and Thunder: Hated it. Extremely rushed, overly quippy, no emotional heart even with a plotline that should have one, dumb villain motivations - this underwhelmed me even though I went in no expectations.

The Gray Man: Not great all around. Bad script, needless locale changes, a few miscasts - but Gosling made it watchable for me. Happy to see Julia Butters again.

The Big Chill (1983): I didn't love this, but I liked it! I am a sucker for a plotless relationship exploration film in general, and this one also gets into how quickly idealism can die when money becomes a factor. It's a lot of white people sitting around talking, with 60's songs creating emotional shortcuts for the audience, so it's certainly got its drawbacks. But I really liked that they didn't do any flashback scenes, or show the dead friend. [Spoiler (click to open)]I like to think that I could be as chill as Glenn Close's character about letting my husband purposefully knock up one of our mutual friends who he clearly has chemistry with, but idk, that's a lot of chemistry!!
