Everything is scattered on the internet, there’s a surplus of artists and it’s just really hard to keep up with. I really miss having curated channels informing me of new releases. It’s just not the same with Spotify’s and YouTube’s playlists.

lol jk, i know most of them. but im feeling very old, and the VMA is still holding on for dear life.
I can appreciate that the network that used to be cool at least has 1 or 2 yearly events to try to keep up with the youth.
The real problem is attention spans are so spread out, and celebs are so accessible, awards shows in general aren't special anymore.

I was reminded this week that Eddie Vedder uses/d his Moonman as a doorstop. 😂

“So, we go walk in. He shows me the indoor basketball court that he’s got - in the center of the court is The Who logo - and we start walking up these stairs… and I’m like, ‘Stoooop, is that an MTV Moonman?’ And it’s broken to pieces and he’s got it as a doorstop. The award is likely one of the four Pearl Jam took home for “Jeremy” at the 1993 Video Music Awards, where they won Video of the Year, Best Group Video, Best Metal/Hard Rock Video, and Best Direction.

out of all the award statues, i think the Moonman and the AMA are the prettiest. Also, the AMA doubles as a weapon. If one were to trip over and fall on it, it's over.
