Indie Film Release Guide: July 15th [An ONTD Original]

Jul 14, 2022 13:18

In the wake of the newest Thor film, big studio releases are a bit subdued this weekend. Daisy Edgar Jones leads Sony’s Where the Crawdads Sing, while Paramount unleashes the animated film Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. And Marcel the Shell with Shoes On goes wide(r) to 100+ theaters this week, so check to see if it popped up somewhere reasonably close to you.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: July 8th, July 1st, and June 24th.
