Halfway through its first season, Loot has been renewed for a second season at Apple TV+. I really like this show so far! It’s a nice show to watch while you wait for the next seasons of Ted Lasso and Acapulco

I got into a nice little routine of watching this during my lunch on friday bc i love maya and it's charming little show but I didn't think it'd be strong enough to warrant a second season. I'm pleased but genuinely surprised lol

I want to like Maya Rudolph, but I feel like she goes out of her way to be the only black person in the room. Like, she really loves working with only whites. (For most of her career, at least.)

I've watched the first three episodes and I'm all in. I have such fond feelings for the cast of this show (especially one of my all-time faves Ron "father figure" Funches) and I love seeing them all together on screen.

The Hot Ones scene is already iconic to me, I can't wait to see where this show goes next.

Unpopular opinion, maybe, but I don't get Maya's appeal. She is very one note to me and not particularly funny, I'm surprised somebody decided she could hold an entire show...and renew it for a second season! heh. Also, the fact that she's married to PTA after the horror that was Licorice Pizza and all the Fiona stuff, and her friendship with Amy and Tina always makes me be a little sus about her.

I don't dislike her onscreen, I think she has a nice presence...but I also agree she isn't very funny? It's weird. Humor is so subjective though so I guess her style just doesn't click for me.

My favorite role of hers is Away We Go. I wish she would try another drama/dramedy!
