MTV posted a question, which is better "Mi Bebito Fiu Fiu" or Eminem's "Stan"? Raising controversy after calling it "A cover".

fair enough. I do hear the drum beat that's not in the original.

I just listened to Thank You and (I very well could be wrong) I hear the beat in it as well. I think Eminem amped it up a bit and added the rain but it’s there and not especially subtly. The song in the video sounds like a Thank You instrumental sample is used not a Stan instrumental sample (to me). Granted it’s the exact same sample Eminem used but it’s not an especially creatively transformed sample in Stan (the way some samples sound like entirely new songs or are just part of the arrangement or very short and looped) so I’m not even sure Stan should get that much credit for where it chose to start and stop the sample since it’s the repeating part of the song in its entirety (don’t know technical terms).

nah stan uses the exact same beat as thank you just minus the bongos lol but when you listen to the full song its very clearly supposed to be a parody of stan
