I'm pretty sure this is when they do like "stock footage" (i don't think this is the technical term for it) like they sometimes do for theme songs so yeah pretty much just "alright reba just give us a few faces" and this is what she chose to do. Tbf it's not entirely different from the way she performs in general? So I think it just came naturally to her especially if she had already recorded the updated version of the theme song.
