He doesn't want to, can afford the kids, is active in their lives, and all the mothers are willing and happy to join in. It's not a choice I would make or support but it's theirs so, it is what it is, I guess.
He isn’t active in all their lives though. At least not to the same level as the mothers. He’s got like what, almost ten kids now? This is just lazy and narcissistic.
Really? Your going with bodily autonomy over the well being of children (which he is and will continue to only be a part time parent to at most to all his kids)? I know you like to troll, but come on.
Exactly. If you don't live with your kids and have 8+ other kids, most in separate households, to divide your days with, you are not invested in them as individuals. Hell, even if they all were kids from the same household, it would be highly unlikely that 8 kids would each be receiving the individualized attention and quality time they deserve.
one man can't be active in all nine children's lives. especially when they're all in different homes and as they grow up and have varying interests and activities.
I'm sorry I even put that in my comment because my point is about bodily autonomy. Nobody should be even suggesting that someone should permanently alter their reproductive choices made with other consenting adults..
This is a more delicate issue given the history of "social undesirables" like black people having their reproductive capacities commodified or alternately denied them, I understand that, but someone on a dying celeb gossip site talking about snipping this tool's tool after he's had 9 kids with like 14 different women is another one of those things that, on the continuum of Crimes Against Reproduction, I just can't fucking care about.
I'm sorry but what has that got to do with "getting snipped"? Did we not just have a whole ass discussion about how people can change their minds about having kids, despite swearing for years they didn't want them, on the Anna Marie Tender post? People can change their mind or even slip up from their original reproductive choice and that still doesn't give you or me or anybody room to say they don't. This is basic stuff.
But he didn’t say he changed his mind about having kids. He said he was depressed and someone “offered him vagina.” One or twice is a “slip up” but not 9 times. He’s clearly being irresponsible but go ahead and stick your neck out for Nick fucking Cannon lol.
Additionally, it was a flippant comment. I’m not out here campaigning for men to lose their reproductive rights. I’m too busy fighting for my own.
He clearly isn’t trying to have all these kids so why not just do the mature thing and get snipped?
Having an opinion on bodily autonomy is something every one of us, including me and you, has had an opinion about, even when it didn't directly affect us. Because opinions about individuals is how the parameters of larger discussion get set. I know you and others actually understand that but are acting like it doesn't matter in this case because you think Cannon is a weirdo doing too much with his sperm.

Are these choices I would make? Nope
But the "get snipped" commenting is bullshit. It's not cute.
