Same with me and Apple. I had a classmate named Apple. It wasn't an unusual nickname in my country. I couldn't understand all the ruckus the name caused.

I actually kinda like Apple as a name. It's not super different from Clementine or Olive or even Peaches, in terms of fruity names.
