Yesterday, during the Platinum Jubilee parade or something, Prince Louis, age 4, had a tantrum on live television. He could be seen covering mom Kate's mouth, sticking his tongue out and pouting. Apparently, Kate eventually took him for a time out and he ( Read more... )

lol exactly, my niece is almost five and one minute she's the sweetest kid in the world, then suddenly she's having a meltdown for no good reason, and then she's right back to where she started two minutes later.

Four and had been involved in nonstop activities. Any kid that age is going to get tired and cranky.

People fail to realize that kids are testing boundaries, especially in public. They want to know how they far they can go. It's normal behaviour

The internet jumped at the opportunity to critique Kate's parenting and call Louis a brat and/or autistic

As a pure but accurate generalization, one should always remember that the internet is dumb as fuck.

They've been seriously accused on the internet of being lizards wearing human bodies as camouflage.
I think this will be low on the reaction scale for them, lol

The kid is 4 and probably beyond overstimulated with all of the shit he's having to do for the jubilee. Why does the monarchy even force the kids to be at those things?

I mean, they probably took him because it was a parade, did he attend anything else other than the dumb balcony thing?

Louis only was at the balcony for Trooping the Colour and at this parade.

George and Charlotte went to those events and also went to Cardiff Castle and then the concert on Saturday night.

If I had to guess, it was meant to to be like 'here is the future of the monarchy!' by having George and Charlotte more in the public eye this weekend than they really have been previously.

Other of Liz's great grandkids were at the concert and the parade too though, but those great grandkids were mostly older and for them it was probably just for funsies to see the performances.

i think its def part of the future monarchy PR but i also think they like to do exposure like this so that people arent hounding them for pics all of the time. a few "controlled" visits a year. idk if its right but i can see the idea behind it

at one point will called louis over to sit on charles' lap and i did lol. i dont think we've ever really see charles be particularly grandparenty before (ETA- in other comments people are saying he is a hands on granddad so maybe i just missed those pics). will is clearly trying to think of the image of the family
