She was competing, IIRC, SYTYCD doesn't operate like The View with ~sponsorship from judges. SHE Found it inappropriate and it was. Go back to beatboxing history and leave everyone alone.

But the funny thing is the SYTYCD community is small and tight knit and everyone tries really hard to look out for the dancers and find them opportunities, even ones that aren't on the show. Nigel has often said that there are great dancers who just aren't show material and some of the choreographers pick them up as assistants or Fox gets them work on other shows.

So tbh that makes MM story more suspect because they are very, very used to help dancers get other opportunities. It was the way he did it that was suss.
