Gossip Girl costars Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley reunited on Penn's new podcast talking through the awkwardness of adolescence. In addition to stories of adolescent awkwardness, Leighton talked about:
- feeling weird about playing a teenager on Gossip Girl at 20 and setting unrealistic expectations for teenagers (including the idea you could walk into a bar and order a dirty martini at 15)
- aging in Hollywood and being told to dye her gray hairs to look younger
- currently being old enough to play Timothee Chalamet's mother and her love interests now being around 50 years old
- seeing her husband Adam Brody's face for the first time on a friend's computer screensaver
